After a lot of prayer and thought, we decided we want to go back to the Dallas area.
I want to further explain our decision. We came out here to Jasper because my dad was retiring {so he thought} and fell in love with the land out here. Then, the economy crashed and the stocks he planned to pull for his retirement went waaaaay down, so he decided to wait until he was old enough to get social security. Which meant, waiting another 2 years before retiring.
In the meantime, we had a baby and then reaaaally began to miss having family around. The whole point of our move here was to be close to family, and we never anticipated raising our child with no grandparents nearby.
Then, Chad lost his job. After months of searching for one out here, we decided the best thing to do would be to move back to the Dallas...
So the Lord works in mysterious ways...
We decided as soon as one of us landed a job in Dallas, we would move there. I ran a summer camp the year I moved here, and by the end the teacher was begging me to stay as one of their permanent teachers. At that point, I declined, but she sais if I ever needed anything, to give her a call.
So I did. Low and behold, she tells me they have changed their building entirely to a private school that will offer Pre-K and Kindergarten in the fall... and she is in need of a Pre-K teacher... and she will give me a considerable discount on daycare....
...It was one of those "too good to refuse" offers, so I accepted.
And ever since, I've had such peace of mind about my decision. I KNOW in my gut it is the right one. I will miss the friendships I made in Jasper, but you can't put a price tag on being near family AND having your baby in the same place you work. I also truly feel this job will be slightly less stressful -- don't get me wrong, I love my 3rd graders this year, but I just feel in general, this new job will give much more peace of mind.
I'm so excited about the summer, about next year, about the move, about my job! I know this is what our family needs right now. I am so grateful for the Lord to open all the right doors to make this happen!
