Last weekend, Kent & I went to Dallas to find an apartment. My mother-in-law joined us on our adventure. The beginning of the search was frustrating. Everything in the area close to them was way out of our price range. So, then we tried a more central area where we used to live {Lewisville} and found several that we LOVED... but they only had a 2nd or 3rd floor available. Carrying a baby up two or three flights of stairs was not my idea of fun. :P
Then we found other apartments we LOVED... that had NONE available, at all. :(
At the end of the day Saturday, on a whim we decided to check out one last place. I walked in feeling so defeated; like we were never going to find anything... The leasing consultant asked me if there was anything special I wanted in my apartment... I said "first floor, but I'm finding that impossible in this area." He was like, "I have one! And it has a view of our beautiful creek. And it's available for your move-in date!" {And the deposit was way less than I anticipated paying! And the price for the apartment was well within my budget!}
We went to take a look at it and it was one of the nicest floorplans we had found all day. My mother in law said, "This is a blessing to find this place at the last minute!" and she's so right. It reminded me that God always knows what's best for us; even when we don't or feel like nothing will work out.
Here's that awesome floorplan. Over 1,000 square feet. Kent will have a huge room and his own bathroom:

We are so excited. Earlier this week, the owner of the school I will be working at called me to check up and touch base on everything. She will be sending me to a curriculum training in Fort Worth and said I have free reign on the plans for the summer program. I can't wait to let my creativity shine, have Kent there with me {daycare here has been a DISASTER, but we won't talk about that}, and be back in an area I love.
So one more month. I will miss my little 3rd graders {who just took their TAKS test and worked SO hard... I pray they did really well!} and friends here. But sometimes, change is good. It's really good. :)
