
So, while being home, I'm trying to get us into the routine of planning out our menu and sticking to it. Otherwise we get tempted to spend $$ on fast food that's not good for our budget OR our waistline. I do always plan before I grocery shop, but while pregnant would give into cravings, so started getting into bad habits of not following the menu...
And then the first few weeks at home were SO insane! My mom cooked for us the first week and then left us tons of leftovers/freezer meals that we ate for the next week, and then we had no idea what we were doing so we basically lived off of cereal because it was fast and easy. :)
Now that I am starting to get a feel for somewhat of a routine with Kent [it's still crazy, but we are figuring out times I can cook/eat/sleep/etc.] I want to establish all of our routines so when I go back to work, it's not craziness. I used to menu plan on Recipezaar, but they redid their site to Food.com and I don't like any of the options, so I think I will just start posting my menus here for easier access.
So that explains my next post. :) Read it if you like, ignore it if you don't, it's just so I can have all my links to my recipes in one easy spot and can track our weekly menu.
In other news, on Wednesday, my baby turns ONE MONTH OLD! Can you believe it? I sure can't! Expect lots of pictures that day!
