I guess you could call it nesting...

Chad and I were really hoping that by the time our lease was up here, we would be buying or at least renting a home. Now with the pregnancy, after a lot of talking it out and praying about it, we've decided to keep the apartment for several reasons. (A few being we won't have to move in July when I will be seven monthes pregnant in 100 degree Texas weather, we won't have to pay another deposit, the rent here is so affordable for what you get, we like our neighbors, it's quiet, etc) While I really wanted a house, I understand that this is the best option and come June next year, we will be ready!

So, with this decision, I've been working slowly to make this home more home-y. Just adding little touches here and there so everywhere I look there aren't empty white walls. I am starting in the kitchen/dining room, and working my way out. It's a fun project! Time consuming, but fun.

We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday where their home decor stuff was almost all 50% off. I just bought two little things to start off with, but now want to go back and get more! :)

I bought this cute little sign with hooks and turned it into a kitchen towel rack. (Kitchen towels $1 a piece courtesy of Dollar General!)

Then I also got this cute metal sign... and $1.50 candle from Dollar General that smells even better than my expensive candles!

So, all together that little area looks like this:

I'm very happy with it. Dining room and Living room are next!
